In Colombia, entire communities are surviving on city streets, where physical,
moral and emotional mistreatment is part of their daily life.

To support themselves, many are engaging in illegal activities
such as prostitution, drug traffic, and theft.

Laudes Infantis is a non-profit, grassroots organization that was established
as a response to the growing young homeless population (age 5-18)
in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia.

Our mission consists of bringing educational and recreational activities
to marginalized communities in the Bogota area.

Our extensive experience working on city streets over the past ten years
has brought us to believe that by focusing on youth at risk of becoming
delinquent streets kids (or "gamines"), we can help prevent this vicious
phenomena, and make Bogota a safer place to live.
